Centering Prayer

In Centering Prayer, we consent to God’s presence and action within us. The half-hour flows in such a way to help us do that, including 20 minutes of silence which opens us to God. All are welcome to explore this call to prayer any Thursday you are available.

Panama City, Florida • March 8 - 14, 2020

Flordia Mission Trip

Westminster Presbyterian Church is scheduling a return work trip to Panama City, Florida. We have conducted three prior trips to that area and the damage caused by Hurricane Michael is devastating. The hurricane was so powerful that many homes and businesses were destroyed. Many homeowners have exhausted their insurance and savings and are dependent upon volunteers for help in restoring their homes. Our work team will work with SBP-Hope Panhandle, a non-profit group that is assisting homeowners in reclaiming their homes. On our last trip, we did painting, cleaning, floor installation, some carpentry, insulation, etc. There will plenty of work for everyone regardless of skill levels. We will be staying at the Laguna Beach Camp, a comfortable lodging facility. Our team will enjoy fellowship and morning devotionals. You are welcome to participate on this mission team.

For more information, please contact Joe Gaines, 615-636-3860.

Saturdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 • 10:00 am  – 12:00 pm

Pickleball Fellowship

If you think you may have an interest in Pickleball, then you are IN LUCK! No matter your age or sex, you are welcome to come to see what the talk is all about. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport for all ages. It is a cross between tennis and ping pong, played with a whiffle ball and paddle. We have set up a court in the Westminster Gym.

Come and see; no partner is needed; no reservation needed. We will have players to ‘teach’ the simple play of the game. This game will quickly become the best new fellowship opportunity at Westminster.

You do not need to bring any equipment, but you should have a good pair of tennis shoes so as not to damage our court (that’s TENNIS SHOES, not running/jogging shoes which can leave ugly black marks on the floor).

Pickleball is a good time that always leaves you wanting to come back for more!!!
